Resource Map
The resource distribution on the island of Catan is quite disparate. Although the island was once filled with forests, only a few remain now. Most was cleared by the colonies to make more room for pastures to let the sheep graze and for wheat fields to feed to the population. The central regions of the island are quite mountainous and are rich with various ores. Certain territories adjacent to the mountains have clay pits from which bricks are made.
